The Tigger or Tiger Melon is an heirloom muskmelon. They’re very ornamental with lovely tiger striped skin in shades of orange, red, & yellow. The fruit is very fragrant, such a lot so they are able to be sat around like little air fresheners with a purpose to fill an area with their sweet scent. The fruit is roughly softball size & weigh up to 1 pound each. Plants produce a high yield with up to 20 melons per vine. They may be able to tolerate some dryness, & hot & dry conditions in reality help the fruit change into much sweeter & juicier. I’ve read several reviews that say the fruit is bland, but they are going to definitely not be if exposed to hot & dry conditions. The creamy white flesh is sweet & juicy with a delicious flavor very similar to an Asian pear & a cantaloupe.
